CommunicAsia '08

eToday, 19th June, we went to broadcast exhibition, it is a part of the whole exhibition. The whole exhibition including CommunicAsia '08, EntrepriseIT '08 and InteractiveDME. More than 70 major companies for every part of this world. Some of famous companies are LG ELECTRONIC, FLUKE NETWORKS, HARRIS STRATEX NETWORKS (S) PTE LTD, SANDISK , HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO LTD,HITACHI CABLE ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO LTD, TELEKOM MALAYSIA BERHAD (TM), YAHOO, ZTE CORPORATION, ZYXEL SINGAPORE PTE LTD and still have a lot more....

This is a 4 days event that started at 17th June 08 to 20th June 08. Actually we was planned to go to this large event on 18th June, which is yesterday but due to certain reason, student group only allow on the third day of the event so we only can go on today and tomorrow although some of us did the pre-register online...

Here I posts some of the pictures that when we are inside the exhibition, although the camera is not allowed in this event...

Canon booth is shown their HD video camera for broadcasting purpose.

This booth is belonged to Panasonic. Its also shown their HD camcorder to record a program...
They simulated the situation of recording.

On the Panasonic booth, they also shown the world's largest HD Plasma TV, which is 103 inch.

This booth is under Sony company to display their product mainly for broadcasting purpose, such as latest product in HD camcorder, some video editing softwares, and also their LCD and Plasma TV.

This is one of the big company on internet devices, handphones and other communication devices. It is come from China, ZTE Zhong Xing.

HuaWei, also come from China. This company is providing mobile broadband device to Singtel so maybe you will feel more familiar with this brand if you are Singtel user...

Zxyel booth and the Yahoo booth is just beside of it...

Guess what? This booth is belonged to Sennheiser. They shown their Audio products and their wireless microphone system, with its software that can be use together with the digital microphone receiver. The consultant was very patience to tell us about the features of their wireless mic and the advantage of the digital microphone receiver.

About this company, maybe many of you didn't know about it but if you have a chance to go to MediaCorp to have a look their transmission department, actually they are using this brand for his HD channel transmission, which is HD5. This brand, Miranda provide a lot of very professional devices for HD broadcasting, HD channel monitoring and so on.

And because of this event, I had the opportunity to watch the largest resolution of TV panel, Super Hi Vision TV, also called Ultra High Definition TV (7680 x 4320 pixels, which is equal to 32MP). It is developed by NHK Science & Technical Research Laboratories. The world's first 22.2 multichannel sound system has been developed to the UHDTV2 (UHDTV only come with 3840 x 2160 pixels). I was experienced it just now, it was just awesome. When the TV shows the scene of the center of tokyo city, what I feel is I really wanted to go in to have a shopping at there... the detail of the picture is as clear as you can see at the exact place. It is a very good experience for me...

As I mention, we need to do a pre-register online before 30th May and I did it before the due date. Once you did the registeration, you can get a badge for this exhibition, which is this...

The only thing that i can gain from this exhibition beside knowledge, is these...
A lot of brochures for the latest product from many companies. I don't think read through these all... but I will try to do so when I'm free...

Overall about this exhibition, I feel that was very useful to me to enhance my knowledge for many products for broadcasting, networking, and some of the AV products. Well, this is a international event so the thing is there and you won't disappointed about this event. I really hope i can have the chance to go this kind of event at the future and my classmate is going to introduce some to us. So? Let see how is the plan going...
